Mountain Bike Trip Report - Manchester Parks

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

On the day of the planned trip to Delamere the weather wasn’t looking good, so Andy and I went out to my local park to play around.

First crash of the day was me going down an easy rollable drop off, getting it a bit wrong and going over the handlebars. This was followed about 30 seconds later with the second crash of the day where I tried taking the steps down, and slipped off the back of the bike. Andy of course had had no trouble with those steps.

The highlight for me was going over one of my nemeses - a small drop off that I messed up on a couple of years ago and ended up bleeding all over. Andy managed it after a few tries, and then he managed to coax me over. Hooray! Thanks Andy! All that’s left now are those steps of death near Andrew’s house.

No pictures or videos this time, I’ll make sure to take my camera next time. The next day out is Wharncliffe on the 22nd.

Rivington Pike Mountain Biking

This is a video of me biking down the steps of Rivington Pike last year. It’s much steeper looking in person than on the film!
